More Microsoft 365 Storage Per User
Cove's fair use includes 1 TB of Microsoft 365 data a user, pooled within each tenant. EnterProtect includes 50 GB a mailbox, or 100 GB on Complete, pooled across your whole book.
EnterProtect and Cove both back up servers, workstations and Microsoft 365 with storage included. The differences are what each recovery point proves, how long it stays locked, and how your bill is counted.
Every Cove cell was checked against the linked page on the date shown. EnterProtect cells come from its locked specs and price books, and match the product pages.
You'll hear these from Cove's team, so you should hear them from us first. Each one is checked against Cove's own pages, with the dates in the table above.
Cove's fair use includes 1 TB of Microsoft 365 data a user, pooled within each tenant. EnterProtect includes 50 GB a mailbox, or 100 GB on Complete, pooled across your whole book.
Cove backs up the full mailbox, including the In-Place Archive. EnterProtect doesn't capture archive, group or public-folder mailboxes, because Microsoft's stable mailbox API leaves them out.
Cove restores and keeps standby images in Azure, as well as on Hyper-V and ESXi. EnterProtect recovers to your appliance, Hyper-V, VMware or its own recovery cloud, but not to Azure.
Cove backs up Oracle databases. EnterProtect covers SQL Server, Exchange, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB, but not Oracle.
Cove retains up to 10 years and says long-term retention costs nothing extra. EnterProtect lets you set any length, but retained data counts toward your pooled storage.
These are the rows where the fine print decides your margin: what each recovery point proves, how long it stays locked, and how the bill is counted.
Every new BCDR point goes through five checks, ending in an isolated boot with a screenshot, and "verified" names the check it reached. Cove's Recovery Testing runs on a schedule.
Local virtualization, DR plans and DR tests come with BCDR Essential. Cove offers Standby Image or Recovery Testing for one per-device price.
A machine or mailbox is billed for the exact time it was protected, and counts are final before the 1st. At N-able, a device active for one day is on that month's invoice.
Each point sits under a compliance-mode lock that renews daily for as long as you keep it, and nobody can shorten it, including us. Cove keeps each fortified copy 30 days.
When someone leaves, their mailbox stays searchable, held and restorable at half the active price. Cove's pricing has one flat per-user rate, with no separate rate for people who've left.
Microsoft 365 Complete protects Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune policy, BitLocker keys and Planner, and rebuilds a damaged tenant in place.
Both keep your clients' Microsoft 365 outside the tenant. Cove gives more storage a user and covers archive mailboxes. EnterProtect captures files as often as mail.
EnterProtect captures every workload every four hours, six times a day. Cove backs up Exchange and Teams up to six times a day, and OneDrive and SharePoint up to four.
Cove's fair use includes 1 TB of Microsoft 365 data a user, pooled within each tenant. EnterProtect includes 50 GB a mailbox, or 100 GB on Complete, pooled across your whole book, with a warning before any overage line appears.
Cove backs up the full mailbox, including the In-Place Archive. EnterProtect captures user, shared, room and equipment mailboxes, but not archive, group or public-folder mailboxes: Microsoft's stable mailbox API leaves them out, and EnterProtect doesn't fall back to the retiring EWS API.
EnterProtect Complete adds Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune policy, BitLocker keys and Planner, and rebuilds a damaged tenant in place. Cove's Microsoft 365 pages list Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
EnterProtect bills an archived user at half the active price, still searchable and restorable. Cove bills each user with Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint or Teams protected, at one flat per-user price.
Cove's Microsoft 365 pages state seven years of retention, and Cove quotes privately. EnterProtect keeps Microsoft 365 data as long as you set, with no cap, while the client is protected, at a list price of $3.00 a mailbox a month on Essential and $4.50 on Complete.
Cove is cloud-first, with no local-only option. EnterProtect runs on an appliance you own, with the immutable copy in its cloud, or direct to cloud with no appliance.
Every Cove backup goes to N-able's cloud, and LocalSpeedVault adds a local copy beside it. EnterProtect's appliance runs on hardware you own for fast local backup, boot and verification, while the immutable copy lives in EnterProtect's cloud. Direct to cloud skips the appliance.
EnterProtect checks every new recovery point five ways, from chunk integrity to an isolated boot with a screenshot and a workload check. Cove's Recovery Testing checks a device on an automated schedule and returns a screenshot, and Standby Image builds a bootable VM after every backup.
Local and cloud recovery, VM creation, DR plans and DR tests are part of EnterProtect BCDR Essential. Tests on your appliance are free, and compute in EnterProtect's recovery cloud is metered. Cove offers Standby Image or Recovery Testing for one per-device price, and DRaaS in N-able's DR cloud.
Cove recovers to Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure or N-able's DR cloud. EnterProtect recovers to your appliance, Hyper-V, VMware or its own recovery cloud, and not to Azure.
Both pool storage across your customers. Cove's fair use gives a server 500 GB selected for backup and 1,000 GB stored, or 2 TB selected under its Data Protection Plan. EnterProtect includes 1 TB a server on Essential and 2 TB on Complete.
Cove quotes privately. EnterProtect's list prices are public: $75.50 a server, $38.00 a virtual machine and $15.00 a workstation a month on Essential, and $98.00, $49.50 and $19.50 on Complete.
Both protect files, System State and databases at a per-machine price. Cove adds Oracle. EnterProtect adds native NAS packages and proves application backups by restoring them.
EnterProtect covers files and folders on Windows, Linux and Apple Silicon Macs, SMB and NFS shares, native Synology and QNAP packages, System State, SQL Server, Exchange, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MariaDB. Cove covers files and folders, System State, SQL Server, Exchange, Oracle and MySQL, plus VMware and Hyper-V.
EnterProtect restores each application backup in an isolated environment, starts the application and runs a query before calling it good. Point-in-time database recovery is offered only where the logs are proven gap-free.
Cove's Backup Manager covers files, System State and bare-metal recovery in one agent. EnterProtect splits the job: File Backup protects files and applications at a file price, and BCDR brings the whole machine back.
Cove quotes one flat rate per server or workstation, with storage included. EnterProtect's list price is $9.00 a workstation and $34.00 a server a month, with 250 GB and 1 TB included and pooled across your book.
Nobody should pay two vendors for the same machine, and no client should be your test. Start at home.
Your own Microsoft 365 is free for a year while you protect clients, so you run EnterProtect on your own data before a client's.
Move one client at a time, as its current agreement ends, so you never pay two vendors for the same machine.
EnterProtect can't import Cove backups, so history starts at the first capture. Cove deletes a device's data 30 days after you delete the device, so keep it until the client's retention need ends.
Restore something they care about and hand them the signed report. That's the first proof on the new line.
Something we haven't answered? A person reads every message.
Both back up servers, workstations and Microsoft 365 with storage included. EnterProtect proves every new BCDR recovery point with an isolated boot, includes continuity in BCDR Essential, keeps every retained point under a lock nobody can shorten, and bills to the second with counts final before the 1st. Cove gives more Microsoft 365 storage per user, covers archive mailboxes and Oracle, and recovers into Azure.
Cove quotes privately, and your EnterProtect rate card comes once we've confirmed you're an MSP, so neither number belongs on a public page. What this page can show is what's included: continuity in BCDR, storage pooled across your whole book, archived users at half price and no appliance licence. Join a product's waitlist before it launches and you get the Founding Partner Rate: our large-MSP rate at any size, month to month.
Yes. The BCDR appliance runs on hardware you own and handles fast local backup, boot and verification, while the immutable copy lives in EnterProtect's cloud. Cove's LocalSpeedVault keeps a local copy alongside its cloud.
No. EnterProtect can't import another vendor's backups, so each client's history starts at its first EnterProtect capture. Cove deletes a device's data 30 days after the device is deleted, so keep the device on Cove until the client no longer needs that history.
No. EnterProtect recovers to your appliance, to Hyper-V or VMware, or into its own recovery cloud. Cove recovers to Azure as well as Hyper-V and ESXi.
No. Microsoft's stable mailbox API covers primary and shared mailboxes only, and EnterProtect doesn't fall back to the retiring EWS API. Archive, group and public-folder mailboxes appear in the coverage report as not captured, so nobody mistakes them for protected. Cove backs up the In-Place Archive.
Every row shows the date it was checked against Cove's own pages. Vendors change their terms, so if something here has moved, tell us on the corrections page.
If your backup fine print has cost you a margin or a weekend, compare it with ours. It's four lines.
