Common questions
Does Microsoft 365 not back itself up?
Microsoft replicates data for availability and offers limited retention windows for deleted items. That covers hardware failure and short-term mistakes. It is a different thing from a retained, independently held copy you control the retention of and can restore from after the window has passed. EnterProtect provides the second.
What does immutable actually mean here?
A copy that cannot be altered or deleted before its retention expires, including by an administrator of the environment it came from. That property is what makes the copy useful specifically in the case where the environment itself is compromised.
How do we know a restore will work?
Because you run one. Restores produce evidence — a manifest of what was recovered — and a walkthrough will run one against a scenario you bring.
